 | A Note From Our Founder
As we embark on the beautiful journey of parenthood, it's essential to be mindful of the profound influence our actions and reactions have on our children. Our little ones are like sponges, soaking in every word and emotion we express. What might seem like insignificant moments can leave a lasting impact on their emotional well-being and mental health.
In our fast-paced world, it's easy to overlook the significance of our everyday interactions within the household. Arguments, disagreements, and negative emotions can unknowingly shape our children's perception of the world and their place in it. The subtle messages conveyed during these moments can be absorbed deeply, leading to potential long-term effects.
Research has shown that children exposed to ongoing conflicts or emotional turmoil at home may develop various mental health issues. Some issues include anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder. These experiences can create lifelong trauma, affecting their self-esteem, relationships, and overall emotional development. However, as parents, we can create a nurturing environment that fosters emotional growth and resilience. By being aware of our actions and reactions, we can pave the way for a positive and supportive space for our children to flourish. |

80% of Suicides are Among Males
Based on data from the CDC, the suicide rate among males in the US was about four times higher than that among females in 2021. Even though males constitute 50% of the population, they accounted for nearly 80% of the suicides. If you or someone you know is experiencing mental health challenges, it's crucial to open up to loved ones and reach out to a mental health professional for assistance. Concealing depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues is not the answer; there is help and support accessible for those in need.

Ask for Help…It’s Okay!
Asking for help is a sign of strength and resilience. If you are in a dark space mentally or emotionally, reach out to your support network for help. It is okay to ask for help, especially when you are suffering in silence.
For the supporters, have you checked on your friends lately? Maybe they are having a bad day, and all they need to improve their mood is a conversation with you. Call your friend, have tea together, walk with them, or sit silently and listen. Your kind words or presence could be the glue that holds them together today.

The Stigma of Mental Illness
The stigma surrounding mental illness creates barriers for those battling anxiety, depression, social anxiety, and more. It prevents them from seeking the help they desperately need. It's time to shatter this stigma by fostering an environment of understanding and empathy.
We can make a difference by normalizing conversations about mental health. By openly discussing our struggles and supporting one another, we can create a safe space where seeking help is encouraged and embraced. Together, we can ensure that suicide is never seen as an option for anyone going through tough times. |

The Meaning of a Semicolon
A semicolon is used when an author could've chosen to end their sentence but chose not to. According to Project Semicolon, the author is you, and the sentence is your life.
The semicolon represents a powerful message: "My story isn't over yet." It's a reminder that we have the strength to pause, take a breath, and keep going during our darkest moments. It signifies the connection between our struggles and resilience.
This symbol can be found on a tattoo, a piece of jewelry, or in your heart. It reminds you that you are strong, resilient, and capable of overcoming whatever challenges life throws you. Your story matters, and it's still being written!

Social Media & Mental Health
The US Surgeon General's found that while social media can benefit some, it could have significant potential risks to our mental health and well-being. Being mindful of our social media usage is essential.
Remember to strike a healthy balance by wisely managing your time on social platforms. While online connections can be valuable, nothing compares to genuine face-to-face interactions with friends and family. So, let's prioritize scheduling quality time to nurture meaningful relationships beyond the digital realm. Your mental health and personal connections deserve that care and attention.
